Ingredients

  • 1/2 small green cabbage, shredded (approximately 3 cups)
  • 1/2 small red cabbage, shredded (approximately 3 cups)
  • 1 medium yellow onion, sliced thin
  • 1 red bell pepper, julienned
  • 1 jalapeno, ribs and seeds removed, julienned
  • 1 tbsp roasted sesame seeds
  • 3 tbsp white vinegar
  • 3 tbsp sugar
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil

Instructions

  1. Mix green and red cabbage, onion, bell pepper, jalapeno (optional), and sesame seeds in large bowl.

  2. Heat white vinegar, sugar, and soy sauce over high heat until sugar is dissolved.

  3. Pour over dry cabbage slaw ingredients and massage until fully mixed (approximately 30 seconds).

  4. Cover and refrigerate for one hour or until ready to serve.
